Your trusted
partner in
Indigenous Relations,
training and reconciliation
Based in Alberta, supporting organizations across Canada with a collaborative, reconciliation-focused approach.
With decades of expertise in corporate Indigenous relations across Canada, we help organizations engage respectfully, strategically, and with integrity.
Forum Community Relations has grown from a solo consultancy into a trusted, collaborative team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous facilitators, engagement professionals, strategists, educators, and community leaders. Together, we bring a powerful combination of lived experience, professional expertise, and cultural knowledge to support organizations across Canada in building respectful and lasting relationships with Indigenous peoples.

What sets us apart
For us, reconciliation isn’t just a concept—it’s something we actively practice. Every training session is co-facilitated by Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders, modeling the collaboration and shared responsibility that reconciliation requires. Our Indigenous partners contribute vital cultural knowledge, lived experience, and trusted community relationships that enrich every learning experience.
Values
Matter
A core set of principles guides the way we work—both in how we support our clients and how we show up for one another.
Mission
To serve as a catalyst for knowledge and action, building better communities for us all.
Vision
We believe that when humans know better, we want to do better.
Forum Community Relations helps “connect the dots” for people and organizations who want to do better Indigenous relations and community engagement.
Purpose
Purpose-driven: We exist to help build better communities for us all.
Authenticity. We recognize and embrace the unique experiences and identities of each person and community, and bring our whole selves to the work we do.
Generosity. We contribute to the communities of which we are a part, because we believe that building better communities requires those with privilege to use that privilege in service of others.
Trust. We strive to earn the trust of the people and organizations that we work with and for, through demonstrated results, accountability, and meaningful dialogue.
Passion. We care deeply about making a difference through our work, and seek to work with clients and partners who share our drive to make the world a better place for us all.
“From direct, community-based consultation to advising multinational boards on strategic direction, we’ve been part of Indigenous relations and reconciliation efforts at every level for over two decades. Most importantly, we know that no two journeys are the same. That’s why we tailor every engagement to where you’re at, where you want to go, and the Indigenous Nations and communities you work with. Whether you're a small non-profit or a corporate team looking to deepen your understanding and reconciliation efforts, we meet you where you are—with respect, clarity, and care.”

“I’m deeply honoured to work alongside incredible Indigenous partners who bring cultural knowledge, lived experience, and community connection to everything we do.”

You might be thinking,
“What’s a white lady doing in Indigenous relations?”
Fair question—and one I have asked myself. Let me tell you how I got here and why I’ve stayed committed to this work.
Forum Community Relations started as just me—a Settler woman trying to do this work in a good way, learning from and walking alongside Indigenous Peoples. Over time, what began as a one-woman consultancy has grown into something much bigger and more meaningful.
Today, Forum is a collaborative team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous facilitators, engagement professionals, educators, strategists, and community leaders. We're based in Alberta but work with organizations all across Canada. Every training we deliver is co-led, because we believe true reconciliation requires shared leadership, diverse voices, and mutual respect.
